Privacy
Ship It! Software Limited operates this site. Selected databases, SQL statements and results are processed on your device. This site does not upload database contents or provide remote AI access. This policy also covers the separately installed SQLite Editor desktop app described below; website and desktop measurement are separate.
Local browser storage
A short-lived file handoff may store a copy in this browser for up to 30 minutes. Large files stay in the current tab. Working disk copies use browser-managed storage and temporary space. Browser storage can be cleared or become unavailable. Save changes before closing or refreshing; crash recovery is not provided.
Website requests
The hosting provider receives ordinary page and asset requests, including connection information needed to serve the website. Database contents and SQL are not included. This site adds no advertising or product analytics scripts.
Your controls
You can clear site data using your browser settings. Clearing it removes local handoff copies and preferences. Download files you want to keep first.
SQLite Editor desktop app
The separately installed desktop editor processes databases and SQL locally and writes changes to the destinations you authorize. Local database operations do not require an account or upload database contents or SQL to analytics and diagnostic services. Closing the app does not delete files you saved.
Desktop releases incorporating the 25 October 2026 reliability update send bounded usage events to PostHog for app starts, successful database opens, first successful document edits and successful saves. Earlier installed releases retain their previous measurement until updated. Sentry receives application lifecycle and unexpected error diagnostics. Reports include fixed app, installed-version, platform, build-provenance, action, source and outcome categories, with sanitized technical diagnostics. They exclude database and file names, paths, schemas, table or column names, database values, queries, SQL text, credentials and arbitrary error messages. Debug builds suppress routine remote telemetry; locally built release packages can report development-tagged activity. Failure to deliver telemetry does not prevent local database operations.
Routine desktop measurement uses a random app-scoped installation identifier stored in local app storage and a fresh session identifier for each launch. Neither comes from an account, hardware, operating-system identity or database. Unavailable identifier storage uses a session identifier instead. PostHog person-profile creation is disabled. Updated apps also keep bounded local lifecycle and panic-category logs without database contents, SQL or paths.
Sentry and PostHog receive ordinary network information, including IP addresses, when reports are sent. Their configured collection endpoints are in the United States. PostHog can retain IP addresses and derive approximate location without requesting precise device location. Random identifiers and disabled person profiles do not make these reports anonymous. Operational reports are retained as reasonably needed for reliability, security and legal obligations, subject to provider retention controls; no fixed remote retention period is promised here.
There is no in-app routine-analytics switch. You can clear local app data or restrict telemetry connections with device controls while local database editing remains available. Clearing local data can remove the installation identifier and local diagnostic logs, but does not erase reports already received. Use the support route on this site for privacy questions or requests without including private databases, SQL or credentials.
